Played this course on May 16. I play 5-6 times a year, as it is in the golf pass book that I always buy. The layout of this course is very interesting. The greens and fairways were in very good shape.
Unfortunately maintenance issues keep rearing their ugly heads here. They've worked on the bunkers on the front nine, and they are much better with more sand and being cleaned up. The back nine bunkers are still in pretty bad shape. Hole 12 could be one of the best par 4s in Ohio, but the long bunker running between the fairway and the pond is in terrible shape- hardly any sand, weeds growing out of it. New Era golf sells memberships to this course, and it's hard for me to believe that the members put up with these issues. Come on New Era, this could be a great layout if treated with some TLC. Finally, my pet peeve about Ohio golf courses has become course maintenance workers who don't stop working to allow golf to be played. At this course, workers mow when golfers are on the greens. I'm surprised they don't mow down golfers while they're standing in the fairway and rough. A couple of weeks ago, a worker was using a yard broadcast spreader on the green and kept working and spreading while we were putting on the green. Unreal.
