Let me preface this by saying I have been playing Indian Springs since it was a pristine and prestigious 27 hole course. I have seen it's ups and downs but I have always really liked this course. I played here in mid-august and the course was not only in the worst condition I have ever seen, but possibly the worst condition I have ever seen of any golf course. Pretty much every fairway, and every tee box was about 50-75% dirt and mud, no grass at all - it was abhorrent. The fact that they are charging full price on weekdays is absolutely offensive and actually makes me quite angry in hindsight. To be honest, I haven't seen any course in such bad condition since the now defunct Rickenbacker course. What is fascinating is there were lots of people working everywhere on this course, mowing grass (where grass could be found), painting, etc, but it's like giving a bald guy a comb, what are you actually doing here? What all of them should have been doing is planting grass seed - everywhere - giving away free tee times, apologizing to patrons, and praying. I don't know if I can ever come back here, this course is about a 45 minute drive for me and my friends but now it is no longer worth the risk. I hope they get things figured out here because we need courses like this to get it together but until I hear differently it will not be at my expense.
