2017-04-05 4.00444444This course, now Denison Golf Club, is not open this season yet. They closed last season early because of a grass fungus. Person who answered the phone said the fairways are now in good shape and ready for play. The same person said that they're opening now on Friday, April 14. The cause for the delayed opening was supposedly clubhouse renovations. Don't know why they can't renovate a golf clubhouse over the winter. Also, most every golf course has a website now- this one does. Why not put opening date and course condition updates on the website? That's what it should be for.
2017-04-25 3.65444451This will follow-up on my previous comments. Got to play finally on April 17. The grass fungus has indeed been cured, and the fairway grass is back and looking like it's previous great condition. The greens were running good. The rough was way too long for my liking, and it hadn't rained for several days. I hate losing balls out in the open in the rough when it's too shaggy. Overall, this is one of my favorite courses in the Columbus and nearby area. Donald Ross designs are excellent. One warning- the clubhouse worker didn't like the jeans I was wearing on a cool morning. Check out their dress code before you go.
2017-06-28 5.00555555Jeans, really, did you have on a tank top, too? Really enjoyed this course not as tough as some of the Donald Ross courses, Mill Creek in Ytown, Hawthorne Valley in Solon but still very nice, would go back.
